General Event Information and Booking Terms & Conditions
Payment

A deposit is required to confirm your place. The deposit will be refundable up to a week in advance of the event if you are genuinely unable to attend.

The balance is due via BACS 7 days before the event.

If you cancel less than 7 days before the event then the balance will still be due.
Contingency
In extremis we may need to substitute an alternate model or tutor of similar style & quality. A refund will not be due in these circumstances.
If unforeseen circumstances force the cancellation or postponement of the event then a full refund will be offered.
Accessibility
There may be stairs, dark areas and uneven surfaces. It is your responsibility to inform us before booking of any accessibility requirements, whether physical or neurological.
Equipment
All lighting equipment (strobes, modifiers, reflectors, stands, triggers) will be provided.
We will be using flash lighting using universal triggers which depend on your camera having a standard centre pin hotshoe. Most modern digital cameras will be fine. A very few entry level Canon cameras do not have a centre pin hotshoe and will not work. Certain older Sony / Minolta cameras may require a special adapter.
Ensure that you know how to put your camera into fully manual mode
For mirrorless cameras make sure you know how to disable electronic shutter mode & disable viewfinder exposure simulation.
You are responsible for making sure that your camera will work with our universal triggers. If in doubt please ask before booking.
You can bring any lenses you like. I suggest a zoom in the range 24-70mm (full frame equivalent) and if you have any fast primes – e.g. 35mm f1.8, 50mm f1.4 or 85mm f1.8 - then do bring those.

If you wish to shoot at a shallow depth of field when using flash lighting then bring a 3 stop ND filter for your system.
Conduct
Participants are expected to conduct themselves professionally at all times. The event should be treated as a work environment.
Do not touch the models or any of their clothing.
Only one photographer to work with a model at any one time, i.e. only one person shooting at once.
Image Usage
Delete and do not share any images which are beyond the model's normal shooting levels, e.g. which show genitalia. Ask if in doubt.
You're free to use the images you make for non-commercial purposes. That includes social media or an online portfolio.
You may not make money directly from the images. That means you may not submit to stock image sites, sell prints or grant a licence to use the images or transfer the copyright to someone else
You may not use the images to nor allow anyone else to use the images to train an AI model.
